Running Days > Resting Days

Long run tomorrow.. I dunno how many people adhere to this rule but I have always been told to take a day off before a long run, always.  Nothing the day before and a little the day after.  This has kept me moving and mostly injury-free in the past, but it has always been difficult to sit out on a day when I'm already feeling all amped for the weekly long run.

Needless to say, I currently have an insuppressible urge to go to the gym.  I should just chill and take a nap, and maybe focus some energy on finding my missing Nike+ sports band, but I'm starting to feel a little crazy on days that are supposed to be rest days.

I don't think that this is a severely rare problem among runners.  It's that goddamn endorphin addiction, I think. I wish I could just run all day every day without a whisper of a shin splint or fatigue.  What a life that would be.

I also wish I had more running friends to lament with =[ Alas, I do not, but this blog will suffice.  Even if I am talking to myself.
